School Transport Scheme
Under the terms of the Post-Primary School Transport Scheme, children are eligible for school transport where they reside not less than 4.8 kilometres from and are attending their nearest school as determined by the Department/Bus Éireann, having regard to ethos and language. While it is the prerogative of parents to send their children to the school of their choice, eligibility for school transport is to the nearest school / Post Primary Centre and it is important that parents are aware of this eligibility criteria.
Applications for school transport for the 2020/2021 school year can be made online at www.buseireann.ie/schooltransport and must be submitted before the last Friday in April . It is important that applications for school transport are made on time as late applicants are not guaranteed a service under the terms of the scheme.
Further information or clarification may be obtained by parents contacting their local Bus Éireann School Transport office.

Way2Pay
Way2Pay is a quick and convenient system or both parents and schools alike. We want to move to be a cashless school as quickly as possible and ask all parents and guardians to use Way2Pay as a first option in the payment of all school related bills. There is the facility on Way2PAy for parents to ‘deposit’ funds into their account over time as a convenient way of spreading costs. If you are not in a position to use Way2Pay on-line, the front office can accommodate payments through Way2Pay and you will receive a digital receipt however we respectfully request that this option be kept to a minimum.
We are finalising arrangements with Way2PAy and you will be alerted by text message when bills are live on the system:

Student Induction Days 2019
We are looking forward to beginning a new approach to students joining us here at The Comp. Next Tuesday and Wednesday we will have our first Induction Days. We will be welcoming all 6th class students who applied to attend our school in the 2019/2020 school year. This will allow everybody to become familiar with the layout of the building and our facilities, try our option subjects, see how our timetables work and get to know their teachers and student mentors. We are aiming to make the transition to secondary school a comfortable one. With this in mind, changes have to be made to the timetable to facilitate this. In a follow up to letters issued this week, the details of these changes can be found here.
