Welcome to our Photography Exhibition

Home sweet home

Our Comp-Pix Club had been building towards holding an exhibition in May since the photography club started in November. The students have continued to take and send in photos throughout the lockdown and have even committed to virtual club meetings. You can imagine the disappointment when we realised that the exhibition and auction of work would not happen. In the tradition of #CompStyle we have come up with alternative. We are holding an online exhibition and we would love for you to check it out when it goes live. We have set up a Go Fund Me to help raise money for camera equipment when we return and a ‘celebration screen’ for our canteen which will display all the amazing achievements of our students on a daily basis as well as some of the photos our club produce.

Elise

Elise is a student in Transition Year and is an outdoor enthusiast. This can be seen in many of her photos which are taken when inspiration hits on her hikes and runs. This scout is always ready when the photographic opportunity arises.

ALYSSON

Alysson is a third year student that has a passion for photography. She sees herself doing photography in the future. Her style of photography would be something like an Instagram aesthetic!

ZOEY

Zoey is in 2nd year and has a particular interest in taking photos of nature around her.

CASEY

Casey is in 1st year. She loves taking pictures of nature and experimenting with unusual angles.

CIARA

Ciara is in 1st year. She loves taking photographs of scenery and group photos as she believes they are something you can look back at.

AMY

Amy is a 1st year student. Amy loves that she shares this passion with her friends and that they can do it together. She particularly likes to take photos of water.

EVAN

Evan is in first year and has a great passion for the outdoors. This scout also likes to combine his love of photography with his enthusiasm for model planes and drones. Evan has a great eye for the unusual shot.

CADHLA

Cadhla is in first year and is quick to take out her camera when the opportunity arises.She loves to experiment with black and white images.

lucy

Lucy is a third year student who loves taking pictures of animals and nature!

JULIA S.

Julia loves the outdoors and it proves an inspiration for many of her photos. She has a passion for art and photography and takes photos whenever and wherever inspiration takes her.

SHANNON

Shannon is in 1st year and loves to experiment with light and filters. The inspiration for his exhibition pieces have come from isolating at home and how he has spent that time. He has taken ordinary parts of our day and made us look at them in a different light. (pun intended)

Clíodhna

Clíodhna is a first year student. Many of her photos are inspired by nature and show the wonder of the nature around her in her favourite places of Clare and Donegal.

SINÉAD

Sinéad is in first year. She loves to take social pictures of family and friends as well as nature. Her photos frequently show her love of light and unusual angles.

Eoghan

Eoghan is in 1st year and not only have we seen his musical talent this year but also his photographic skills. Eoghan has a passion for the Shannon Wetlands and has taken some fantastic photos of them.
