tHE STORY OF OUR EXHIBITION...

A note from Ms. O'Hara.....
This was the second project that my new first year student did with me after doing all their colour theory studies when the arrived into art during the month of September. Their first project was a still life panel study in paint to put their knowledge of mixing colours into practice.
In October-November we decided to further our studies into the medium of print. The students wanted to explore self portraits and so we decided that we would produce them in the style of the Pop art period, paying particular reference to Andy Warhol’s famous multi-portraits using such muses as Marilyn Monroe and Elvis Presley etc... 
Coming from such newly inaugurated art students, all were delighted with their outcome and are a true homage to this period in art history. POP!
