Welcome to the 'Collaborate with The Comp' section of our website. We are looking for the help of our community as we navigate extraordinary times. If you think you can help us then please get in touch with us

These talks might include but are not limited to:

  • Careers, colleges, apprenticeships
  • Local businesses and their impact on the community
  • Charitable organisations and the work you do
  • Motivational/inspirational life stories
  • Culture and identity
  • Well-being, respecting others and ourselves
  • Past pupils and your accomplishments
  • Native speakers of Irish, French and German
  • Artists, authors, singers and musicians
  • Connections to practical subjects - construction, home economics, DCG, PE, science etc.
  • Practical displays that might be of interest to students.
We would be very grateful if you would consider signing up and a relevant member of staff will get in touch about speaking to their students.

We are particularly interested in help with:
  • Fundraising for our musical
  • Science equipment to update our labs
  • IT equipment including screens, laptops, visualisers, cameras, microphones etc.
  • Exercise and sporting equipment including outdoor exercise machines.
  • Outdoor benches and seating.
  • Donations or fundraisers to help with Inbhear/Bláth.

Astroturf fundraising campaign

Celebrations at the comp!



We are celebrating here in St Patrick's Comprehensive School thanks to the wonderful generosity of Ei Electronics - Ei are sponsoring the refurbishment of our astro-turf as their  ‘big’ CSR project for 2021.'

Ei are renowned in Shannon for their generous commitment to their local community - we are humbled and over-whelmed that they have chosen St Patrick's Comprehensive School to benefit from that generosity. 

Our school community have worked very hard this year to raise funds for our astro-turf refurbishment - thanks to the commitment and generosity of all in our school community, including local companies who donated to our fund in such difficult times, we raised ca €11,000 - those funds will now be used for sport equipment and maintenance of our astro-turf.

St Patrick's Comprehensive School when founded in 1966 was a pioneering school for a new model of education in Ireland. This collaboration with Ei, coupled with the partnerships in our school community between students, staff, parents, our local community, and local industry is a testament to that model of education.

Our students both present and to come will benefit hugely from the refurbishment of our astro-turf - on their behalf we thank Ei Electronics.

We have officially launched our fundraising campaign for our school Astroturf. Our pitch has been closed for some time as it needs a significant amount of work. Thanks to our school community and some local businesses we have already passed the €11,000 mark. We hope to continue to add to this fund with the help of our fantastic community. Please get in touch if you have ideas for fundraising or sponsorship.
