Meet thomas - our school therapy dog!

We are incredibly proud to introduce the newest member of The Comp team - Thomas, our school therapy dog from My Canine Companion - Autism and Therapy Services. Thomas is already proving to be the most popular person on the team here in the school and has settled right in to his rightful place as the heart of the school.

He has begun his invaluable role of brightening the day of our school community and is forming an integral part of the day here in The Comp. Although new and still a puppy, he is enriching the lives of all those around him. Our huge thanks to My Canine Companion and the staff here who look after Thomas with such care and dedication. We can't wait to keep you informed of all his adventures here in The Comp!

A Heartfelt Thank You to Kieran Hartigan and the team at IRIS Productions!

We are incredibly proud to acknowledge and thank past pupil Kieran Hartigan for his continued generosity and support of our school community.

Kieran, a former student of St. Patrick’s Comprehensive School, is the founder of IRIS Productions, a Galway-based television production company that has made waves in the world of live sport, documentary, music, and entertainment. IRIS recently won the 2025 Royal Television Society Award for Best Live Sport, and works with major broadcasters including RTÉ, TG4, BBC, and S4C.

Kieran and the team at Iris have previously supported our Breakfast Club, and we are delighted to share that they now contributing to two of our newest well-being initiatives: our Emotional Support Dog programme and Tobar, our new mainstream emotional regulation wing.
This generosity helps us continue to create a nurturing and supportive environment for all our students. We are so grateful for alumni like Kieran who give back and help us build a brighter future for the next generation.
